Essay: Reading Kristin Lavransdatter

I’ve joined a group of women, writers and readers and thinkers, who are reading and re-reading the Norwegian epic Kristin Lavransdatter. Several of the participants read the book in graduate school and are re-entering the text years later; I’d never even heard of it, but I found a copy in the Little Free Library and got on board. Each month we read one section of the book and write an essay about it. My first piece is live on the website here: Burning in Both Places.

The project invites anyone to read along — so if you’d like to jump into the romantic adventures of Kristin with us, visit projectredux.com for a reading schedule.
