I am thrilled to announce that my manuscript In the Salt has won the 2025 Sally Albiso Award and will be published in 2026 by MoonPath Press.

Anyone who has ever felt discouraged by the publication process…let me tell you. I almost gave up on this book. I had submitted to so many places and received so many rejections. I had been a finalist, semi-finalist, and runner-up, but it was always a bridesmaid and never a bride with this manuscript.

Until now! I am so grateful to judge Bethany Reid for picking my manuscript, which is about motherhood and monsters and transformation and illness and grief. I’ll be able to share it early next year and I am so excited to bring this book into the world. This fall I’m thinking about cover art and designs; I’ll post a link for pre-sales when it becomes available. For now though…maybe a glass of champagne?
