My poem “Morphine” appears in the latest issue of Intima: a Journal of Narrative Medicine. I wrote this terza rima (the poetic form used by Dante in La Divina Commedia) to convey the sense of a maze or journey, the winding loop of waiting for a sick child to heal.

Read the poem here.

This is part of a larger manuscript I’ve written on my son’s illness. I’ll be posting many of those individual poems here as they come out.
